Milli Vanilli
If talent is meaningless—or at least secondary—on the road to success; if universal access to knowledge has only led to the rise of the conspiratorial; if critical thinking has lost the final battle against “vibes”; and if empathy has been downgraded while communities have devolved into cults… then here we are.
We have arrived in this awe-inspiring modern age that I once used to call “the future.”
Milli Vanilli were more than a punchline; they were pioneers. Not withstanding waving a shy banner on diversity, they were, still, the early heralds of the world now occupied by the likes of Elon Musk and Peter Thiel—where, to make it, you need dumb luck and a friend with a deep pocket that will finance your life as your personal casino.
And the house always wins, specially with those white picket fences.
it’s a tragedy for me to see the dream is over
